Windows NT DNS Configuration

Beginning at your Desktop screen, locate "My Computer" and double left click on it to open it.

In the My Computer window, locate "Dial Up Networking" and double left click on it to open it.

In the listbox, under "Phonebook entry to dial", select the connection you normally use to dial up. Locate the "More" button and single left click on it.

In the menu, find "Edit entry and modem properties" and single right click on it.

Find the "Server" tab and single left click on it.

Locate the button, "TCP/IP Settings" and single left click on it.

Enter the following DNS numbers where indicated above:
Primary DNS:209.153.128.4
Secondary DNS:169.207.1.3

  1. Locate your "Primary DNS" and clear out all of the old numbers, then do the same with "Secondary DNS."

  2. Next, starting with "Primary DNS," double left click in the space to the left of the first period.

  3. Now type in 209.153.128.4 you will notice that the cursor automatically advances to the next space over as you type.

  4. Locate the <TAB> key on your keyboard and press it. This will automatically take you to the line, "Secondary DNS."

  5. Double left click in the space to the left of the first period. Now type in 169.207.1.3, You may have to hit the <SPACE> bar to get the cursor to move to the next space as you go.

  6. Now Click OK, then click the next OK to close "Dial Up Networking."

Congratulations, you are finished!
