Messages from CoreComm Defender
CoreComm customers who subscribe to our CoreComm Defender virus protection service are protected from receiving E-Mail messages with virus infections attached to them. The Defender service will scan and destroy E-Mail messages with known viruses, and it will send an E-Mail message to the sender and the intended recipient notifying them of its actions.
Customer Notification
As a customer with CoreComm Defender service in place, you will be notified whenever the service detects and destroys an E-Mail with a known virus attached. While you will not need to do anything further, such messages are reminder of the service CoreComm is providing to you. You may want to take the opportunity to make sure that you have taken measures to protect yourself from virus attacks by other methods as well, as detailed in our Virus Information section.
Sender Notification
If you have received a message from CoreComm Defender saying that it has deleted a message you have sent, you are probably infected with a virus and are spreading that virus via E-Mail.
To detect if you are infected with a virus, review the document I think I have a virus, what do I do?
