Note: The first time you attempt to send E-mail using Netscape, you will be prompted for your password. This is normal when using authmail.core.com. If you do not wish to type your password every time you send E-mail, check the option to save your password.

Congratulations! You have successfully completed setting up your E-Mail to work in Netscape Mail 6.x.

Helpful Pointers for using Netscape Mail:

  • By default, Netscape Communicator will open to the Navigator browser. To go into Netscape Mail to check, read, and write mail, simply select Mail from the Tasks menu.
  • After you have finished setting up your account, you can set it to check for new mail every xx minutes. Open the Account Settings screen as described in Step 2 and click the Servers option on the left side.
  • If the option to check for new messages every xx minutes has been set (see information above), Netscape Mail will automatically check for new messages periodically while the program is open and you are connected to our service. If at any given time you want to force the software to check for messages immediately, simply click the Get Msg button from the mail window.
  • After setting up Netscape, it is often helpful to close the program and then restart it.
