Connecting to our network with WebTV
Just like our standard dialup accounts, you can connect to our service via WebTV for the same price as a regular dial-up Internet access account, with all the same available features.
There is also an additional monthly change that WebTV charges you to use their system. Remember that you must first register with WebTV and get the upgrade to connect to CoreComm Internet. If you are already connected to WebTV, follow the below instructions.
Step One:
Once you connect to the WebTV Network through your normal connection, click on the Setup button located on the left side of the screen. This will take you to the WebTV Control Panel.

Step Two:
From the WebTV setup screen, select the option in the upper-right labeled Dialing - Connecting to WebTV

Step Three:
Next, on the WebTV Dialing Options screen, select Use your ISP from the lower right.

Step Four:
On the first Using your own ISP screen, you'll see a description of what this service option entails. Click Continue.

Step Five:
This screen will list some of the pros and cons of using your own ISP. You may need to pay WebTV a monthly fee for using their service, in addition to the regular connect charges from CoreComm.
As far as the cons for this service go, we do not charge per minute, we offer you 24-hour technical support, and we do support PPP connections and PAP authentication.
Click Continue.

Step Six:
This screen discusses more information about switching to an Internet Service Provider. Click Continue to go on.

Step Seven:
First, check the box on the top of the screen to begin filling in options.
Service Provider Name: CoreComm Internet
Login Name: Your User Name
Password: Your Password
For the dialup number and backup, you can put your local number for both if we only have one number that is local to you.
When you're finished, click Done.

Step Eight:
Congratulations! You are now setup to use CoreComm Internet with the WebTV Network.
Click Continue to connect to CoreComm Internet.
